10 Great ways to start the day this Spring.
1. As soon as you wake up Get Up -
You will have so much more energy during the day
2. Make the first thought of the day a POSITIVE one:
repeat some positive affirmations and really feel, embody and believe them -
e.g. ‘Every cell of my body is filled with light and love’
‘I connect to the peace and love within me’
3. Salute to the sun
Surya Namaskar – is a yogic exercise that warms and stretches the entire body opening the energy channels and improving flexibility and blood circulation.
I enjoy feeling gratitude for the beautiful sun that warms our hearts and gives us life while I perform this exercise.
4. Breathing – practice some easy and powerful breathing exercises -
breath in for as long as is comfortable – hold your breath for as long as is comfortable and exhale for as long as is comfortable.
Repeat 5 – 10 times While doing this exercise focus the mind’s attention at the space between the eyebrows and visualize light (you can visualize the image of a candle flame or the sun)
how does your body and mind feel after this?
5. Kick start your liver in the morning with a warm fresh lemon water -

8. Writing down your dreams
Contemplating your dreams and what messages they are telling you is a great way to start the day as it allows us to connect with our superconscious minds. In the superconscious mind we relate to things through symbols, images, colours, it’s also a place of our higher mind or intuition.
9. Be Creative
Whether it’s writing a short poem containing the first 3 words that pop into your mind or drawing a symbol or picture – Stimulating your creative brain can help tune you in to your intuition increasing creative problem solving for the rest of the day.
10. Smile -
It’s as simple as that… just smile, even faking a smile actually makes the body react as though it is a real one… so fake it till you make it!!

I am most impressed Tanya and feel inspired to continue what I am already doing and to introduce others you mentioned. Wouldn’t the world be a happier place if we all could be still for a short period of the day to connect to our inner self
Thanks for your comment Marijke, I am happy to hear that through this post you have become inspired to deepen the connection with your inner Self. Just by doing this YOUR world WILL become a happier place. Om Shanti
